This module introduces the types of building services that are commonly involved in buildings. These services are primarily hot and cold water water supply, sewerage disposal and treatment, drainage and storm water management, electrical supply, active and passive fire protection systems, mechanical ventilation, air-conditioning systems and mechanical transportation systems. The objective is to create awareness and understanding of the principles of the service systems to that students may be able to adopt, apply and integrate the services requirement in the design stage of their works.
